This model has is a single seat and includes one pilot figure. The cockpit can open and close. It includes wing and fuselage pylons for missiles and bombs and two wing fuel tanks. It also includes a detailed landing gear as well as the cover of the wheel wells to give the appearance of inflight.
A card similar to a credit card is included in which it has the serial number for the model.
This is really a “no-play” model or a “display-only” model. It is mostly metal and very heavy. It also has a number of antennas which look great but are very fragile. If you have small kids that like to play with your models, save yourself some frustration (and money) and wait till later to get a model like this one. The box is labeled as not suitable for children under 14.
The box measures 10 inches by 10 inches by 3.5 inches.
The Ling-Temco-Vought A-7 Corsair II was a carrier-capable subsonic light attack aircraft introduced to replace the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk. The A-7 airframe design was based on the successful supersonicVought F-8 Crusader, although it was somewhat smaller and rounded off. The Corsair II initially entered service with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. It was later adopted by the United States Air Force, including the Air National Guard, to replace the Douglas A-1 Skyraider, North American F-100 Super Sabre and Republic F-105 Thunderchief. The aircraft was also exported to Greece in the 1970s, and Portugal in the late 1980s.
